A driver motions a pedestrian to cross the street. The pedestrian comes up to the car's window.
"Actually, I was just letting you cross, I didn't need to talk to you."
"Oh. Sorry."
"It's fine. Anyway, now that you're here, how are you doing?"
"I'm good."
"Yeah? How's your family? Is your family doing OK? How about your mother? You guys doing alright for money? Have enough to eat?"
"Yeah, we're doing alright."
"OK. Good. Sorry, I wanted to act like I was taking care of this neighborhood for a second."
"It's cool. I get it."
"Actually, can you tell me where I am? I'm not from around here."
